About our Club house:

Built in 1921 the one-and-a-half story clubhouse is a locally unique example of the Craftsman style. The ground plan is an oblong mass with marvelous salient. Covering the building is a steeply pitched, multi-gable roof with composition shingles.The closed gables eve look-out beams supporting the wide overhangs and tall louver vents in the center of the gable end walls.The Craftsman detailing is most evident in two porches - one at the northwest corner and another facing west toward the south end. These are designed with tall, open gable roofs intersecting the main, cross gables. These are supported by heavy, open timber work resting on massive, stucco pedestals at the corners. The cathedral ceilings are clad with tongue-in-groove paneling above the rafters.On the northeast porch, spanning the angled timbers that rest on the pedestals is a rough hewn timber sign reading "WOMANS CLUB". The remainder of the building has simple detailing with stucco walls and one yellow rock wall beside an entry at the east end of the north wall. The double doors to the three main entries are wood and glass. On the west side there are additional, simple, entries with metal doors. The south wall is a series of truck loading doors facing the parking area.
